Please note that the service may take approx. 3-4 weeks from the arrival of your devices. We kindly ask you to refrain from enquiring about the status of your case. We will contact you with a cost estimate for the work to be carried out at the latest after completing out initial inspection.

1. RMA NUMBER
Please complete all mandatory fields online and give an exact description of the reason for return.
Be sure to enclose a printed RMA-shipping label as well as a copy of the online form with the parcel. Also attach a second label to the outside of the shipping box.

2. PACKAGING
Please clean the devices carefully before shipping. If a device arrives dirty, technically modified or damaged, we reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee. If only a TriOS sensor is malfunctioning, sending the controller and cable is usually not required. Ensure that the devices are securely packed and well padded. Preferably, use a carton in carton for shipment.
Damages caused by inadequate or unsuitable packaging or transport are not covered by our warranty terms and have to be borne by the customer.

3. BACKUP DATA & DEVICE CONFIGURATION
During service, we will delete all previously stored data. Therefore, it is necessary to back up your data before sending the device in, also for the disposal of a device.
TriOS does not assume any liability for lost data.
The customer is responsible for customer-specific settings after a service.

4. RETURNS CONDITIONS
A. Devices without RMA-shipping label will not be accepted and processed.
B. The customer is liable for all damages and bears all duties and fees up to the devices’ arrival in Rastede (Incoterm DDP Rastede).
C. Returns from abroad need to be shipped with HS code 90273000. If you use a different code, the return delivery will not be accepted.
D. In case of returning goods from abroad, the package needs to be declared for release for free circulation to the customs authorities, as we reserve the right to replace and exchange devices, if necessary. Customs consignments that are declared as inward or outward processing will not be accepted.
E. Please ensure that the devices are securely padded and packed for save shipment. It is essential that the shipping label is clearly visible.
F. Please contact us to calculate the value of goods for customer clearance when the devices are older than four years.
G. When a device contrary to expectations has been sent without any fault, we have to charge an inspection fee.
H. If we receive dirty dirty, technically modified or damaged devices we charge a cleaning fee. This applies in particular to cut cables, open cable ends and modified plugs.
I. After the cost estimate has been made, the RMA order must be received within two weeks. Otherwise we reserve the right to store the device for six weeks at a charge and to return it afterwards at the customers expense.

5. DISPOSAL OF OLD EQUIPMENT
Old TriOS equipment can be disposed of by a local disposal company in accordance with the applicable laws and guidelines.
Alternatively, you can return the device to TriOS Mess- und Datentechnik GmbH. Please note the following
instructions:
A. You can only send TriOS equipment for disposal.
B. The cost of shipping to TriOS is your responsibility.
C. The discarded device cannot be returned to you.
D. There will be no refund of the purchase price or residual value.
E. The old device will be recycled in accordance with the requirements of the Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG).
