On 14 Juli 2020 the MDR aired a report on nitrate levels in Thüringen’s groundwater in the “MDR Thüringen Journal”. It deals with the question whether or not nitrate levels can be traced back to fertilizers and manure. Therefore, the measuring point network is examined more closely, showing the TriOS NICO being used in measuring points for nitrate monitoring.
